exterior lighting: tail lights
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Dodge Durango vehicles. The terminals in the tail light wiring harness may be damaged and cause the tail lights to fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
- The risk
- Tail lights that fail to illuminate properly reduce the vehicle's visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
- The fix
- Dealers will inspect and replace the tail light assemblies, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 3, 2026. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is A2D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 29, 2026.
